ADA Cafeteria
It is time that I reveal this place to the masses. The cafeteria on the second floor of the American Dental Association building is wonderful.
I work in that building to the right of it on Chicago Avenue in the photo. The prices are SO cheap and the food is really good. The best grilled cheese sandwich for just like two something. Today I had a mushroom swiss burger with onion rings and a drink, for six damn dollars! Freshly made and oh so yummers in my tummers...

And who told you about this wonderful place...??
ryan did!
I love your non-elitist culinary reviews, man
One day it's "The mussels were overcooked and lacked subtlety. And that 1998 syrah the waiter recommended tasted like 1999! I'm never eating here again!"
The next it's "How bout that new 'Extra Crispy' popcorn chicken basket down at the EZ Mart? If you supersize your Pepsi, it's 15 cents off every gallon of gas. I say fantastic!"
It takes a pretty cool guy to be able to both ignore the hype on lousy fine dining and recognize the simpler pleasures such as a $2 grilled cheese.
Bravo and kudos, sir.
Your ol' chum,
Pat
my Caf can top that with little house on the prairie prices:
French toast: 45 cents a slice
Coffee (albeit bad coffee): 35 cents for 6 oz. They also have starbux for a dollar.
Soup 35 cents for the small.
and not to rub it in or anything.
Lunch on Tuesday
Cup of soup
spare ribs and rice
Piece of cake
coffee, tea, or soda
$3.00
next time you're in NY you'll have to stop by. The food is pretty damn food.
PS: charlie, can anybody off the street go there for lunch?
Yup, anyone can!
cheap eats are good eats... i'll check it out when i'm in the hood.
I have a friend that works in that building, I'll have to ask his opinion (I bet he doesn't even know about it)
i need to make some friends at google's ny offices.
