American Psycho
I really love Bret Easton Ellis, but this was his only book I hadn't read before because I hated the movie with a passion. But, I had to stop this book about 100 pages into it. It is nasty and gross and horrible. I know what he is trying to do, and the statement he is trying to make with his work, but I just couldn't handle it right now.Grade: D (I still love you, Bret)

There is only one book that I have read that I had to put down and walk away from because it was so disturbing - that book was American Psycho. I'm totally with you, Charlie. I loved the scenes about his clothes and his CDs, but the violence was just too graphic and horrifying. Don't get me wrong, I finished the book, but it's probably the only thing that I've read once that I would NEVER consider reading again.
