You really think Memoirs is going to do that well? And you think they academy will give a nod to Kiera or Michelle from Dawson? I know the ladies categories are weak, but that seems unlikely. But like you said, I haven't seen any of these movies either, so who knows.
Well, the Academy does tons of weird stuff. But, Kiera is getting a lot of good press for the movie and if she gets some precursor awards she should get nominated. And Michelle is very likely at this point with all the really great buzz and early reviews for Brokeback. But, yeah, Memoir is iffy and starting to get a little early backlash after being called a shoe-in.

I've heard the same thing about Memoirs - it peaked way too soon. And I think you're right, Ryan - the female catergories ARE weak. It seems like all males are tremendous.
