Where to go?

OK, readers, I need your help. The BF and I are talking about a long weekend in May someplace. Right now we are sort of torn between Vancouver, Seattle and Savannah, GA.

Of these three where would you? What's your vote? Been to any of them?

Grade: All seem like an A to me

I've been to Savannah a couple times. It's cute, but I didn't find a lot to do. Though I was underage, so who knows. I'd go to vancouver. You'd probably see some stars since that's where they film everything these days. And you'd be getting out of the country, always a good thing.

Although I've never been, I would say Savannah. It just seems like it would be a beautiful place.

Charlie, you magnificent bastard, you absolutely must visit Seattle. I could drive over the mountains from where I live in wine country and see you!

My girlfriend, whom I believe you would adore, is from Seattle and could help you find the best non-touristy spots.

And Tracy Ellicott lives in Seattle, too.

So, conceding that I am recommending it more out of a personal desire to see you than any regard for which city you might actually like best, I have to say Seattle is the obvious choice.

I'd say Vancouver. So that's at least one vote for each place. Good luck.
When am I going to meet this fellow?

I say Savannah because Dana and I got the car impounded in British Columbia.

Savannah is my vote. Wasn't it a tv show on the WB a few years back?

Anyway, if you want warm weather, go there. I "heart" the south.

I agree with Elise. Savannah is nice but a day or two tops. Head to Charleston. It's amazing. They are close enough together you could really hit up both.

Savannah's too hot in May and not sure if there are any direct flights into the city. That'll cut your vacation time having to consider transfers, etc. Go in October when it's more hauntingly festive and cooler.

My vote's for Vancouver, arguably one of the most beautiful cities on the planet, though I've never been but a major consideration for me. I met a friend in Palm Springs who lives there and he says there's tons to do, has one of the largest gay Asian populations in North America, and you have the mountains, you have the sea, you have the sound.

Also, there are reasonably priced shuttles between Seattle and Vancouver (3 or 4 hour scenic drive), so you can get more for you money heading to the Pacific Northwest.

Having said that, I'd rather pick Barcelona. Sigh, no money. I hate my shitty secretary job.
