Good Night and Good Luck
This movie is being considered a pretty certain Best Pic nominee. And while it is up there, I don't get what puts it above the rest. It is a solid, very tight story. Some good performances, especially David Strathairn. It was a really great movie. But, I wasn't blown away or anything. Just a really good solid film.
I totally wanna make a gay porn version of this set in the old timey news business called Good Night, And Good Fuck.
Grade: B+ (I hate that George Clooney directed it. I just don't like the guy)

That's what I say to you when i leave the bar early.
Ya, it totally looked bo-ring. I had to go through all that stuff when I was getting my incredibly useful history degree...
I think you put to much thought into these nominations all together. I mean, the whole thing is pretty trite. Movie's get nominated that shouldnt be and movies that should be get the shaft...happens every year man.
Yes, I do put too much thought into it. But that is the whole fun of it for me. I am SO obsessed with the Oscars and figuring out how they work, what they will love. And it is very political, but that is part of the game, my friend!
Yours is the first opinion I have heard that didn't just rave and gush over this movie. I think it will get lots of nominations. I'll work on my predictions and post them soon... some of yours surprised me.
oh you two...
hey mister, what are you doing for new years?
I dislike George as well. I refuse to see this movie because he directed...okay, I'll rent it, but I won't see it in the theatres.
